On a local note, after the tremendous rains that we have had this summer, Mill Canyon Road (Little Antelope Valley) north of Lost Cannon Creek has begun to slide downhill. A large portion of the hillside is moving. The County has graded the road several times attempting to make it usable, but it continues to slide downward. At this time, the County has closed the road (it is not passable by vehicles) while the County works with other agencies such as, US Forest Service, BLM, MWTC and California Fish and Wildlife. The road will continue to remain closed while further investigation continues on how, if possible, to stabilize the road/hillside.
